What personal data do we process and for what purpose when you use our website?

Purpose

When you visit our website, we collect information about the visitor’s behavior with the aim of collecting statistics on the use of the website, as well as with the aim of being able to do targeted marketing.

The legal basis for processing personal data

Processing of personal data takes place under legitimate interest (the balancing of interests rule in the data protection regulation), as we consider that the collection and disclosure of behavioral information on our website does not violate the visitor’s fundamental rights.
You can opt out of this disclosure at any time by changing the settings for third-party cookies under our cookie policy.

Categories of personal information and their sources

Only personal data is collected in the form of IP address and behavior (click on various subpages on the website). Only personal data provided by the visitor is collected.

Recipients of personal data

We pass on indirect and direct personal data to Google, LinkedIn and Facebook. All companies are located in the United States. Data processing agreements have been concluded with all of them, and it has been verified that all are part of the EU’s “Privacy Shield” certification agreement, which ensures that companies in the USA process personal data in accordance with applicable EU legislation.

Storage of personal information

The data we collect for statistics is stored for 26 months by Google Analytics, after which it is automatically deleted. Other data passed on to third parties is controlled by them, which is why we have no control over when data is deleted.

Automatic decision and profiling

The collected personal data is not used in connection with automatic decisions, but it is to be expected that Google, LinkedIn and Facebook significantly use visitor behavior for their internal profiling.

Links to other websites

The website may contain links to other websites or collaboration partners. We cannot be held responsible for the content on these websites, or the websites’ collection of personal data.

When visiting our LinkedIn page:

Purpose

We and LinkedIn collect and process personal data when you visit the company’s LinkedIn Company Pages. The purpose of the processing is to be able to market ourselves to potential customers and business partners, answer inquiries and similar related purposes.

We follow the Norwegian Data Protection Authority’s applicable guidelines regarding shared data responsibility and strive to ensure that visitors to our LinkedIn page receive information about personal data. As mentioned below in this policy, visitors to our LinkedIn page also have the opportunity to exercise their rights, e.g. the right to access, the right to object and the right to deletion.

The legal basis for our processing of personal data

The processing of personal data is based on legitimate interest based on a balancing of interests. Information is not processed where consent is required.

Categories of personal data and their source

Contact information is typically collected in the form of name. If we receive sensitive information/special categories of information, this will be deleted as soon as it comes to our attention.

Storage of personal data

Since the personal data provided on the LinkedIn page is provided by the person themselves on our publicly accessible page, the information will initially remain on the page for as long as it exists. As a submitter of personal data, you can always object to balancing of interests in order to have any posts deleted.

Automatic decision and profiling

We assume that LinkedIn makes automatic decisions and profiling on the part of the personal data for which LinkedIn is the data controller. We do not use automatic decisions and profiling.

Note! If you do not want your information to be processed, please refrain from visiting our LinkedIn page, as it is not currently possible for us to change LinkedIn’s data collection settings.

Who do we transfer and pass on personal data to:

We use a number of external companies and services that process personal data on our behalf. They are “data processors” for us. For all our data processors, it applies that we have entered into data processing agreements that ensure that our requirements for the protection of personal data are followed. Common to these is that we only transfer data – i.e. the data that we transfer belongs to us and is not used for its own purposes by the external company.

As far as possible, we use data processors located in the EU/EEA, so that personal data is not transferred to unsafe third countries. In certain cases, however, we use data processors in the USA and Canada, but only if these meet the applicable requirements according to the GDPR.

In certain cases, under legitimate interest or legal obligation, we may pass on personal data to external companies. It could be insurance companies, SKAT and the like. Common to these is that they themselves become data controllers for personal data they receive from us, as they themselves determine the purpose, etc.

The registered rights:

If you know or suspect that we are processing personal data about you, you have a number of rights in relation to the processing. The individual rights are detailed below. Should you choose to assert one of your rights, e.g. by asking for insight into which personal data we process about you, you must contact us via e-mail to info@betterapparel.dk. When we have received the e-mail and subsequently verified the identity – to ensure that we do not hand over personal data to unauthorized persons – we initiate the process.

The right to access

You have the right to ask for insight into the personal data we process about you. If we process personal data about the person, we provide information about this as well as purpose and legal authority.

The right to object

You have the right to object if you disagree with our processing of the personal data. Whether an objection is left is assessed from time to time.

The right to ask for limitation

You have the right to ask that we limit the processing. If we process personal data, in certain cases you can ask to have the processing restricted if you do not want all the registered data to be included in the processing.

The right to ask for rectification

Should the personal data we process be incorrect, you have the right to have this updated with correct information.

The right to data portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a machine-readable format. Please note that this is only about the personal data you have given us.

The right to withdraw consent

If the processing of personal data is based on consent, this can be withdrawn at any time, whereby the processing ceases.

The right to complain

You are always welcome to contact info@betterapparel.dk if you have questions or wish to complain about the processing of your personal data. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you have the opportunity to complain to the Danish Data Protection Authority. See more on the Norwegian Data Protection Authority’s website.
